Tomo
Tomo is a small anthropomorphic stegosaurus who remembers too much.
He looks like a slightly worn childhood toy: a soft body, somewhat settled stuffing, faded areas, patches, and old seams. But Tomo is no longer simply a toy. Sometimes it feels as though there is something alive inside him - or perhaps he simply carries too many memories.
He was an ordinary children's toy who lived alongside one child. Tomo was carried everywhere, dirtied, dropped, hugged, repaired, and taken back out to play again.
He was also washed many times in an old washing machine.
After every wash, Tomo came back a little different: with a new seam, patch, crease, or worn spot. His stuffing gradually settled, his colors softened, and his body took on its own strange, slightly uneven shape.
But something else remained inside him.
The name is short, soft, and easy to pronounce in many languages. In Japanese, *tomo* is associated with the meaning “friend”.
Tomo is a character about memory, childhood.
He is a reminder that a beloved toy can become a witness to an entire life.
I will add more info and arts with Tomo soon![]()
