A kombucha elf, master of fermentation and biochemistry, with a talent for unpredictable transformations. Her look combines amber chaos, organic steampunk, and effervescent energy, setting the rhythm for life and creativity in the world of Mycelium.

She has fair, delicate cream-colored skin with internally glowing golden “tea freckles” that appear when she becomes absorbed in an experiment.
Her eyes have black sclerae (the mark of the Abyss) and honey-orange irises threaded with dark strands of fermentation that move slowly within them. Her medium-length hair is velvety auburn and matte, perpetually tousled, with little green ginger leaves woven through it. Her makeup consists of glossy dark caramel lips and golden eyeshadow, often smudged by alchemical vapors.

Her pet is Ginger, a living ginger root with a knobby body and green shoots instead of hair. Ginger is ill-tempered and nippy, making a dry crunching sound to express displeasure. During alchemical processes, Axylin feeds him dangerous ingredients, which he processes and spits back out as an extremely potent elixir. Her arsenal includes “fermentation bombs” and concentrated vinegar. Her gear includes a burnt-sugar-colored leather apron and a belt of bubbling retorts.

Axylin lives in the “Bubbling Grotto,” a hollow tree burl with amber walls. It stays warm inside and smells of ginger with a hint of sweetness. The entrance is sealed with a leathery, rubbery membrane that pulls visitors inside with a characteristic “squelch.” The grotto is filled with the atmosphere and smells of biochemical experiments and alchemy, where YGG-MYCEL's sap is turned into life-giving elixirs.

She makes sure the group's “engine” keeps running, sustaining life and morale with her signature ginger elixir and transforming chaos into creation and strength.

She is an active participant in lively exchanges with the other inhabitants of YGG-MYCEL. She trades playful barbs with Thalla: Axylin adds fermented starlight to Thalla's substrate, promising to get the mycelium spinning or blow it up, while Thalla threatens to feed Ginger to hungry spores if he causes the garden to teleport uncontrollably. Ginger retaliates by trying to bite Thalla's golden cloak.
She haggles with Kirt over “fermentation bombs.” For Dalamar, she brewed an essence called “Effervescent Entropy,” hoping to make her mold dance, while the pet peacefully dozes in the lap of his silent companion. Lomie complains about the root trying to gnaw through her robe, and Axylin sighs and asks for an extra helping of portal dust for blue vinegar, promising to keep the “tea” away from Lomie's lattice fungi.
